This qualification enables candidates to practically demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to work in a variety of roles in the security industry.
The qualification has 4 pathways which enable learners to develop their knowledge in either a generic or specified context. The key fields where this course is targeted are:

Unit Summary:
There are 4 mendatory units for this qualification:
- Unit 01 - Communicate Effictively with others (regulators' unit accrediation no. D/601/9040) Credit: 2, GLH: 15
- Unit 02 - Control security incidents (regulators' unit accrediation no. F/601/9189) Credit: 3, GLH: 22
- Unit 03 - Portray a positive personal image (regulators' unit accrediation no. K/601/9042) Credit: 2, GLH: 15
- Unit 04 - Reducing the risks to health and safety at work (regulators' unit accrediation no. D/601/9037) Credit: 2, GLH: 20
Assessment:
- The mendatory units in this qualification are assessed through an inernally assessed and externally moderated portfolio of evidence.
- Each learner is required to create a portfolio of evidence which shows theat they've met the standards associated with the relevant mandatory and optional units.
Trainers:
The training will be provided by qualified trainers who have vast knowledge and practical experience.
Entry Guidance:
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, a basic level of numeracy and litracy is required to comply with the health and safety and assessment aspects of the qualification. The qualification is ideal for learners who'd like to:
- Develop their knowledge of security guarding
- improve their carrier prospects, or progress to further training
- complete the programme as part of their own Continuous Professional Development
