Level 2 Diploma Brickwork

It is expected that applicants will have a basic interest in the Construction Industry.

All applicants will be required to attend an interview to ascertain suitability for the course.

All students will undertake initial assessments before starting the course.

Successful completion of the Foundation Construction Award (FCA), or minimum grade "D" in Maths and English and some bricklaying experience.

This course will allow you to gain an intermediate qualification in Brickwork.

There are 7 units of study:

- Store materials and equipment

- Set out basic buildings

- Erect and dismantle basic working platforms

- Construct walling detail

- Work efficiently

- Brick and block walling

- Optional Unit

You will need to purchase suitable protective boots and overalls.

The award is assessed in college workshops and classrooms. Learners are required to undergo an external knowledge test. Key skills will also be studied.

After successful completion of the course you will be able to continue your studies on an Advanced Construction Award.
