Summary:
PTT Installer 2 has been designed as the 'second step' component of our PTT Starter Package or as a standalone course for those who already have some basic understanding of electrics and are looking for a career in the electrical industry.
Details:
This course is intended as the next step for those who have taken PTT Installer 1 and as a course for those who already possess the basic knowledge but feel that they would benefit from some practical instruction and experience.
Syllabus:
- Safe Isolation
- Electrical circuit fundamentals
- Earth Loop Impedance
- Overcurrent protection
- Volt drop
- Earthing and Bonding
- Residual Current Devices
- Testing fundamentals
- Continuity and insulation resistance testing
- Testing of earth loop impedance and fault current
- RCD testing
- Construction of circuits using different wiring systems:
- ~ T&E
- ~ Singles and conduit
- ~ SWA
- Lighting, loop in and switch fed, including extractor fan
- Radial circuits i.e., immersion, cooker, shower
- Ring Final circuits, fused spurs
What time do courses start and end?
Courses start at 9.00am and finish at 4:30pm.
Do I need to buy any books?
No. All necessary books are available on loan for the duration of the course. However, you may want to purchase your own copy so that you can make notes in it and have it to take away when the course is over.
