Level 2 Diploma in Floristry

• Identify, check and monitor the quality of incoming cut materials
• Identify and maintain the condition of plants and planted designs
• Plan, prepare and construct:
  • tied floristry designs
  • funeral designs
  • floral arrangements
  • wedding designs
• Display of floristry goods
• Introduction to:
  • working in the floristry industry
  • function decorating using floral displays
  • art and design for florists
• Functional skills/GCSE - English and Maths

Minimum of four GCSEs C-D Grade or equivalent (Level 1 Diploma), which must include GCSE in English OR Maths A*-D Grade or equivalent. Students need to have a willingness to learn and an aptitude for coursework. Although no previous floristry experience is required, students should have a genuine interest and commitment to pursue a career in floristry.
