Level 2 Hairdressing Diploma Entry Requirements

• A range of GCSEs at C or above including English and preferably Maths and Science or equivalent OR
• An NVQ Level 1 in Hairdressing with a satisfactory reference and equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy OR
• A relevant equivalent Level 1 qualification with equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy.

This intermediate qualification focuses on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the hairdressing industry and will prepare you for progression onto the Hairdressing NVQ Level 2. You will learn how to consult with clients and promote products and services, and develop a variety of hairdressing techniques including shampoo and condition, cutting, colouring, perming, styling, dressing and finishing hair. As part of your studies you may be able to take an additional qualification.

Progression
This course will prepare you for entry into employment in local, national or international salons. With salon experience you could progress to the NVQ 2 or the Hairdressing Diploma Level 3.
