1 Day Welding for Beginners
-
This was a great course but due to the subject matter it would help to have a foundation skill before entering the course to progress and move forward. I would like to have learnt more on the course but was restricted by my own ability.
I could have done with a little more guidance during the day.

The one-day introductory course will teach you the foundation skills needed to start welding training if you have little or no experience and would like to start at the beginning. It is an excellent programme to develop the skills to support a hobby or side project that you may have.
The course is predominantly a practical course delivered in our workshop. It includes all the underpinning knowledge of welding as a profession, as well as the Health & Safety requirements.
Alongside the practical workshop sessions, there is an expectation that you do a small amount of reading and internet research to answer the assessment questions at the end of the course.
You will need to bring PPE i.e. steel toe cap boots and flame-retardant overalls.

About this course
At the end of the programme, you will have produced two practical joints that pass visual inspection and take part in a short oral discussion with your tutor.
This course is for beginners only and so if you have experience in this process an intermediate programme may be more appropriate.
There are no formal entry requirements for this level of study. The course is for new starts and total beginners.
You can progress to another welding process at the beginner level, or you can proceed to the intermediate level.
This is an intensive welding programme which begins and ends with practical training in the welding bay to ensure that you have enough experience to work effectively.
You can call 08002461483 or email enquiries@theweldingacademy.com to get in contact with us. If you request a call back we will endeavour to return a call or email within 24 hours.
The centre is based in Chester, Cheshire.
