Designed for learners who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment, as part of their CPD programme, an apprenticeship, or other vocational qualification. This is the direct replacement qualification for the NVQ Assessor Award Unit A1.

Understand own contribution to the quality assurance of assessment
Understand how to manage information relating to assessment of occupational competence
Understand the legal and good practice requirements in relation to assessment
Be able to plan the assessment of occupational competence
Be able to make assessment decisions about occupational competence
Be able to provide required information following the assessment of occupational competence
Be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when assessing occupational competence
This qualification is for people who are working in, or want to work in Assessment. This course provides people who carry out assessment in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their assessor role.
Although there are no formal entry requirements for this course, you should have a qualification or experience in the subject you want to assess in. You will also need your own candidates to carry out the observed sample assessment on.
TQUK is an OFQUAL approved nationally recognised Awarding Organisation who accredit Occupational Academy Ltd courses.
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. (People get the same certificate whether they attend a class based course or the online course)
