Introduction:
This course is aimed at candidates who would like to take up a career in Dental nursing but have no prior experience and are not currently working within this role.

Study Mode & Location:
This course can be studied at either our Fulwood Campus,St Vincent's Road, Preston, PR2 8UR on a Wednesday evening 6.30pm-9pm (Alternate weeks)or at Lancaster Education Centre, Lancaster - Tuesday Evening 6.30pm-9pm (every week).

Course Content:
The units you will study are as follows:

Health and Safety

Cross infection

Bacteria and Pathology

Charting and conservation

Radiography

Anatomy

Orthodontics

Assessment:
An assessment at the end of the programme.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course allows student to apply for progression onto the NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing on completion of this qualification you will be able to register with the general dental council as a qualified Dental nurse.

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
