Course programme
The Level 3 Award in English for Literacy and Language Teaching course is delivered by either distance, blended learning or as classroom based. You are expected to meet course requirements regardless of the method of delivery.
Distance learning will stretch you as you need to self-motivate and work against the pressures of studying alone. We recommend you to utilise blended learning if possible, as this will give you the opportunity to have some face to face support.
Candidates studying by either distance or blended learning will need to fully participate in online activities and provide multimedia evidence whenever possible.
All candidates can request tutorials and support anytime. You are allocated an assessor and given access to coursework and resources. You will have access to course events, which includes forums, web conferences, and face-to-face sessions.
You will be expected to participate in an induction session, which can either be face-to-face or online. You will then be expected to have a discussion with your assessor to negotiate and agree your assessment plan. This is usually also the time you are expected to submit any prior learning evidence and discuss your needs. Your assessor will draft your “Holistic Assessment Plan” which will have information about your assessments, ground rules and expected course end date.
