Course programme
Student will study 6 units across 1 year, including; communication and employability skills, computer systems, computer networks, information systems, installing and uploading software, and maintaining computer systems
How will I be assessed?Assessment is continuous through practical assignment work, submitted and assessed throughout the year Students will be expected to show a wide range of skills, including; scenario based assignments, presentation skills, report writing and practical demonstrations
What may it lead to?The 60-credit BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary will naturally lead to the 120 credit Diploma for a second year
Students returning for a second year will study: eCommerce, managing computer networks, and event driven programming etc
However, students may wish to pursue an apprenticeship or seek employment
Entry Requirements5 Cs at GCSE including either English or Maths
