About this course

To give the learner the knowledge and the skills to be able to successfully complete the training, and then to apply to the SIA for a Close Protection licence.

People wishing to carry out work as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry

Must be 18+ to apply for this course.
Must have at least a minimum Level 1 in English.
Must hold a relevant Level 3 First Aid qualification to apply for the Close Protection Licence, this will be obtained as part of this course and included.
