This course is aimed at learners with significant life experience and is intended for learners who want to take the next step in training to become a counsellor having already achieved a level 2 counselling skills qualification. It aims to provide learners with a developing understanding of counselling theory and agency work.
This course would be of particular interest to those who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of counselling theory, ethics and practice and intend to progress to a Level 4 counselling course and beyond in order to achieve practitioner status. This award DOES NOT provide the learner with a professional qualification or entitle its holder to practice counselling professionally but it does prepare the learner to undertake workplace experience as a trainee counsellor (a requirement of Level 4 counselling training).
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills or equivalent, GCSEs at A*- D in English or equivalent qualification plus an ICT qualification or experience in ICT. You will be invited to attend an interview.
