About this course

Minimum entry requirements: Certificate in Counselling Studies or equivalent, GCSE English Language Grade A-C or academic equivalent. Prospective Learners should be in a counselling related role in either a paid or voluntary capacity. Refer to general entry requirements.

Course programme

All modules include practical assignment. Some modules include examinations in keeping with Ulster University regulations. A Portfolio in relation to Clinical Practice, including supervisor and agency reports, must also meet a required standard for successful completion of the course.

Graduates have progressed to part-time employment in the voluntary sector, GP surgeries and to the establishment of a private counselling practice. Progression is also possible to the Ulster University for completion of a BSc. Others use the course to progress to careers in allied professions.
