Course description This is a modular course, which is both academic and practical.   Students will study 18 units over 2 years including:      Human physiology      Social development      Behavioural sciences      Biochemistry      Environmental health      Applied science      Health promotion   Students will spend one day a week working at an approved work placement.

Entry requirements Students must have the following:      4 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English, Maths and Science or equivalent - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English  Students aged 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Each unit is assessed by assignments throughout the two-year course. Two assignments are externally assessed and the others are assessed internally and undergo moderation.
