· Who are the abusers
· Alerting and reporting
· Referral taking
· Whistle blowing
· Recruitment
· CRB requirements
· POVA requirements
· Requirements for new employees
· Managerial responsibilities
· Recording abuse
· Responding to abuse

· Successful delegates will receive a PoVa Level 3 for Managers certificate
Duration:
The duration of the course is 5 hours. We usually aim to start the course at 10.00am and therefore taking into account time for refreshment and lunch breaks, the course usually finishes around 3.30pm.
Assessment:
There is a short multi-choice test at the end of the course. Candidates are required to correctly answer 20 out of 30 questions in order to achieve a Certificate in Protection of Vulnerable Adults. Test papers and course books are available in several different languages and tests can also be conducted orally.
