About this course

Direct entry
- Interest in the topic is vital but previous experience and qualifications are not required.

We save you money!

We’ve never been a fan of elitism in the counselling
profession and that’s why we offer direct entry places, to
those that have a solid grounding in a similar profession,
great self-awareness and life experience.

In real terms, this means that you save time and money on
achieving your dream career as you don’t need to study the
lower counselling levels.

If you follow the traditional route into counselling by
having to progress through the levels (level 2, 3, 4 & 5) it
will take you 6+ years before you can start working as a
level 5 qualified counsellor and could cost you in excess
of £15,000. If you have the right qualities, commitment and
experience (not necessarily counselling related) you can
achieve your Level 5 counselling qualification within 18
months through Supporting Minds at an average cost of
£7,500, saving you £7500.

Similar to a postgraduate qualification, we attract professionals such as nurses, teachers, social workers and other health and social care professionals who have a vast amount of knowledge and experience to bring to the profession. In addition, we acknowledge your life experience, your self-awareness and any previous academic study.
It is not just your academic or professional knowledge that makes you an excellent therapist but your humanness, your realness. We embrace and value the diversity within people. We encourage those applying for our courses to have a firm understanding of their identity as you embark on your new profession
