Level One Award in Introductory Welding Skills

It is intended for those who need to obtain a basic skill in manual metal arc, oxy-acetylene, metal inert gas or tungsten inert gas welding.

The assessment includes five mandatory practical tests and an oral test which covers the knowledge requirements for each programme of study. The oral test will be carried out by the assessor following the successful completion of the practical tests.
