Introduction to course
Have you taken part in Dance classes before and want to study the subject at AS Level? Well, now you can gain a qualification in an energetic and exciting subject that you will enjoy. AS Level Dance allows you to draw on both practical and analytical skills in a fun and enjoyable way.

Course Details
The course will allow you to develop skills in both choreography and performance, creating your own solo work and performing in a duet or trio. You will take part in regular workshops and technique lessons, with the focus being on contemporary dance. You will develop your analytical skills, watching professional repertoire and supplementing your knowledge as a dancer, by learning how the dancer's body works. Regular outings to the theatre are arranged for students and professional companies often visit our theatre to provide workshops.

Course Progression
Dance is an ideal course for any student wishing to progress to a Higher Education course in Dance, Performing Arts, Administration and Education. Personal, communication and academic skills are developed on this course and can be applied to a wide range of other subjects and employment.
