Method of assessment
In your first year there will be internally assessed practical and written coursework. Also externally assessed practical examinations, along with written performance or design concept.
In the second year there will be internally assessed practical and written coursework as well as externally assessed written examination.

What will I study?
During your first year you will study a wide range of drama texts and explore the works of contrasting practitioners. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of genres including Greek Chorus, Absurdism and Naturalism while developing your appreciation of actor skills.
During your second year, devising theatre performance will be introduced along with the performance history of pre-seventeenth century texts. Throughout the A Level programme, practical performance modules and context analysis will be applied.

Theatre visits are an integral part of both first and second year modular work. These visits are not only informative but also offer an opportunity for continued theatre experience and sharing of drama performance.
