Qualification: AS/A Level EDEXCEL 3650 8/9 TE01

In Textiles, students create outcomes across a range of practices. The main areas of the course are Constructed Textiles, Dyed Textiles and Printed Textiles, all of which involve drawing and painting. The course will introduce you to the uses of a wide range of natural and manufactured materials and address aspects of textile design in fine art, furnishing and fashion. Many students progress to Degree courses in Art related subjects, usually via an Art Foundation course.

Qualification explained
A-Level courses are divided into two parts. In the first year you will study two units of a subject leading to an AS (Advanced Subsidiary) qualification. In the second year, you can take a further two units at A2 in the same subject to gain a full A Level. (In some subjects, the courses are divided into 3 rather than 2 units at AS and A2.)
