You need to demonstrate competency in order to enroll for this course. Competency is assessed by having either experience ( minimum six months) in the subject area you want to assess or at least a qualification at level 3 and above in your subject area. You will also need to have access to at least two learners who are completing a vocational course. In order to gain the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement you will need to complete a portfolio on the following mandatory units.

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills,knowledge and understanding

Your portfolio will be internally and externally moderated.The course has qcf credit value of 15 with Guided learning hours (GLH) of 84 hours.
