Threading is an ancient manual technique of temporary hair removal which involves the use of a loop of twisted anti-bacterial cotton thread which is passed across the skin to trap the hairs and remove them from their follicles. Threading is a cheap and efficient way of removing unwanted hair with minimal pain and skin irritation. The results are neat with approximate regrowth between two and four weeks and is effective on short hair making it a popular alternative to waxing. Threading is also good for individuals who have undergone strong acne treatments such as Roaccutane or Retin A treatments due to the limited stimulation on surrounding skin.
