Course programme

  • Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
  • Conforming to productive working practices
  • Moving, handling and storing resources
  • Producing internal solid plastering finishes
  • Producing external solid render finishes

Plus two optional units from the following:

  • Applying finishing plaster to background surfaces
  • Installing direct bond dry linings in the workplace
  • Laying sand and cement screeds to levels and/or falls
  • Applying projection plaster and maintaining equipment
  • Installing mechanically fixed plasterboard

The course is assessed through on site observation, underpinning knowledge and the development of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competence.

What next?

Following an intermediate apprenticeship, you could progress onto the Level three Advanced Apprenticeship in Plastering.
