LGV Class 1 & 2
Thinking of changing career? Would you like to become an LGV Class 2 driver or upgrade to a Class 1 driver ?
At TX Driver Training, we can train you to do just that. You must be 21yrs or over and hold a full uk driving licence (for standard cars).
If you do not have category C on your licence then you must sit a medical. This can either be with your own doctor or we can arrange this through our doctor (there is charge for using our doctor see charges below). Once you have sat the medical, your licence needs to be returned to the DVLA along with the medical form D4 and a D2.
When your licence has been returned with the category C added, you are then able to sit the theory test and hazard perception test.Once this has been passed we will book a practical test for you and all your training is done on 4 days up to your practical test.
Drivers must pass Catagory C (Rigid) test before progressing onto Catagory C+E (Artic).
One theory and one practical test. You will be exempt from doing both of the CPC modules (theory case studies and CPC practical ) if you passed your car driving test before the 1st January 1997 and hold a C1 catagory on your licence.
Please note that to be able to continue on any of the courses you are required by law to have the provisional entitlement on the green counter part of you licence. If you do not have the relevant provisional entitlement on your licence the only way to get the provisional entitlement is to have a medical (The DSA D4 medical form must be completed).
