Life Drawing Workshops

Led by London Drawing artists Anne Noble-Partridge and David Price, these workshops provide a unique opportunity to take part in innovative and inspirational life drawing sessions in Tate Modern's collection displays and temporary exhibitions. The workshops are a contemporary take on the traditional life drawing class using the life model as a springboard into ideas and concepts inspired by the art in the galleries. Participants have the chance to draw models from life in front of works of art that present a diverse setting for the human form.

Each class is different and inspired by the work of artists and movements from Surrealism to Minimalism and beyond with enjoyable and challenging activities to suit all levels. The works on display not only provide an inspiring backdrop to the classes but are also used in imaginative ways to structure both the models' poses and the participants' response. Participants work with specific poses, props, movement and with a range of drawing materials to make inspired drawings and gain insight into and understanding of the art and artists.
