Now you know the basics, you need to home your skills and become quicker, sharper and more confident on the desk and in the chair. This course gives you the opportunity to develop those skills. Over the two day course you will spend more time in the hot seat directing 'as live' chat shows, magazine shows and news. You'll be playing in VTýs, directing talent and working with a full crew. Suitable for: Delegates who have attended our Live Directing & Vision Mixing Level 1 course.

Course content:

DAY ONE - AM:

Recap on the basics covered in the original course. Get you back in the chair and used to the buttons, familiarising yourself with the desk, questions and answers, in preparation for the rest of the course.

PM: - The Chat Show

This time you'll have a presenter plus two guests (1+2). More complicated set up and a longer show.

DAY TWO - AM:

The Magazine Show.

During this exercise you'll be directing a complex magazine show (eg: This Morning). You'll have presenters, guests, VT play ins and a cooking segment, which all needs to be directed and vision mixed live.

PM - The News

A regional news show working with keying and VT play ins. Getting you familiar with counting in addition to everything else you've learned.

Who is this course designed for?

This course has been designed exclusively for delegates who have successfully completed the original 'Live Directing & Vision Mixing' course.

This course is for delegates who are confident with the basics and are looking for an opportunity for more practice and more experience with the role.

Also for delegates who wish to home their skills and become better Director / Vision Mixers.

The course runs from 09.30 - 17.30 on both days.
