Breeding is the activity of keeping, growing and appropriately reproducing animals in captivity, total or partial, to obtain food, skins, furs, animal work and trade in them. In recent times, farms have sprung up in order to also supply selected pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles). Livestock is the collection of domestic animals that produce food, textile fibers or are used for work, such as, for example, pigs, cattle, sheep, horses and poultry. The type of livestock chosen depends on various factors, namely the climate, consumer demand, the type of soil, local traditions and native animals of the place. It is typically raised for food or for profit. Animal husbandry is an important part of modern agriculture. It is used by many companies as the transition from farmer to breeder perfectly combines the two professions. Animal husbandry originates more or less when nomadic populations become sedentary and begin to practice agriculture.
