Course programme

Designed to introduce non-law graduates to the LLM, the English Legal System and Method module is your introduction to the UK legal system. After completing your introductory module, you will study seven further modules designed to introduce you to a wide range of law subjects. These cover the seven foundations of legal knowledge required to progress onto the vocational stage of legal training.

Drawing on the knowledge gained during your LLM, you will also undertake a piece of independent legal research, in order to respond to a seen question or client scenario. You will be encouraged to identify the correct area of the law that applies to the subject in question, as well as critically evaluate areas of the law that could be improved to allow the client’s issue to be resolved in a more effective manner.
