You will study:

Business, logistics and supply chain management - Chartered Institute of Transport & Logistics Level 1 (Award) and 2 (Certificate) as well as Business BTEC Level 2.

As well as discovering transport, freight forwarding and warehousing in the classroom, our links with freight forwarders and other operators, such as the Port of Tilbury and DP London Gateway Port will give you the opportunity to see how these services operate.

You will also undertake 30 hours of work experience with local logistics companies.

Course programme

There are lots of progression options open to you. You have the opportunity to continue with your studies through to Level 3 and 4 and then onto a BA or Masters Degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

You could also move onto an Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship, or even begin your career in logistics operations, warehousing and storage, supply chain management, traffic planning, management in the haulage sector, driving goods vehicles, shipping or aviation related professions.

Course Assessment Method

Assessments will be through portfolio based assignments and examination.

You will study Functional Skills or GCSEs in English and maths as part of the course, if you do not already have a grade C or above.
