Course programme

• Famous and less-well known paintings at Apsley House
• How the collection and house was acquired and how they developed
• The career of the Duke of Wellington and the acquisition of his ‘treasury’.

The course will be taught offsite with guided gallery visits, group discussion and short group activities. Handouts will be provided by your tutor to support your learning on the course. Please note we are unable to guarantee stools in the rooms that we visit so you might have to stand and to walk between objects. Disabled access is very limited for those with impaired mobility, as there are no ramps and only one lift in the building and there are no Disabled Toilet facilities.
