This module aims to provide you with a structure for defining your personal creative aspiration through reflective and evaluative practice. You will integrate rigorous academic research with an independent creative practice. You will be encouraged to examine the direction of your academic enquiry and explore unfamiliar forms of creative expression in the wider context of social, historical and theoretical discourse. You will review your prior learning to date and through research, enquiry and practical testing you will arrive at an understanding of your strengths as a designer or practitioner in a defined area of specialism within the following options of Design and Applied Arts:- Glass; Ceramics; Interior Design; Product Design; Fashion; Textiles. The aim of the module is to allow for an initial period of self-reflection, exploration and investigative via theoretical research and creative practice to reach a position of understanding and informed knowledge for study at post-graduate level. The module aims to provide a focus for primary areas of investigation: Creative and theoretical enquiry Materials and Process Academic and/or professional context
