About this course
You will learn how to cut a pattern, sew a garment together, put in a zip and work a button hole. You will also learn how to fit the garment and modify the pattern
The course is intended for anyone who wishes to increase their sewing knowledge and gain the skills needed to make a garment at this level

Course programme
Using a vintage vogue pattern you will learn how to make and fit a 1940's style tea dress over 2 days, using sewing techniques appropriate to the period and looking at some original examples
We will also discuss fabrics and make do and mend strategies of the time, to enable you to go away and make more garments
You will need to provide the dress fabric, we will give you advice on what to use on booking
This class isn't for beginners and knowledge of basic sewing and using patterns is required.
