I've been making jewellery on and off for nearly 20yrs but I'm now totally addicted to it! In between being a mother of two and working part time, I sit at my workshop and like to create gorgeous wearable costume jewellery. I sell my designs online via Facebook 'Offbeat Beads' and also via my shop www/folksy.com/shops/armcandy. I am passionate about jewellery making and enjoy trying out all the new techniques on offer.

History

The Make and Do Studio was started by owner/principal tutor Maeri Howard in 2008 after unsuccessfully trying to find a course in her area for "recreational" sewing. In 2009, Beryl Woodcroft joined and used her expertise in feltmaking, embroidery and knitting to compliment the diverse listing of sewing workshops. The Studio now has a strong foundation of beginner courses as well as an expanding list of more advanced courses.

Advantages of studying here

We offer courses in a small, boutique-type atmosphere where each class has no more than six students (half of the courses are capped at four) with all associated costs included. All classes have full documentation which each student can take home with them and an excellent reputation for helping students even after they leave the courses.
