To help those new to embroidery understand the basic stitches and how to use them in a more modern way. For those that have a background in Embroidery, the workshop will show how to create more artistic pieces of embroidery by designing your own background and utilise a wide array of stitches to create this piece. Suitable for: Beginners and those new to embroidery, those who have a basic knowledge of embroidery but would like to learn to apply the stitches in a fresh, more modern way.

Course programme

Think outside the pattern! Students will learn classic embroidery stitches, then try their hand at various techniques to create designs on which to stitch. The result: a solid introduction to basic embroidery, one-of-a-kind hand-embroidered art pieces, and a new sense of creative confidence!

This class is suitable for all levels of expertise but especially for those that want to use embroidery in a fresh, modern way.
