This is a 4 day class showing you how to make a mid century Robe D' Anglaise, the fitted English style dress
Using period hand sewing and fitting techniques you will make a dress to fit yourself and also the top petticoat and bum pad to go with it. >The dress will fit better if you bring along the correct period shape corset
We will also discuss fabrics of the period and the uses of them
We provide fabric for toiles + boning and interlinings where needed, but not top fabrics, which you will need to bring with you, we will give you advice on what to use on booking
This class isn't for beginners and knowledge of basic sewing and using patterns is required.
You will get to keep your toiles so you can make more at home later.
