During this accredited programme, you will learn how to make a selection of container and pillar candles, floating candles, candle tarts and night lights using a variety of waxes, fragrances, wicks, additives and colours.

You will become skilled at wicking moulds, pouring waxes and using layering and blending techniques to create a variety of stunning, unusual and breathtakingly beautiful candles plus have an understanding of what is required should you wish to work towards selling your candles.

We will provide you with all the containers and ingredients you require for the course which includes moulds and glass/tin/acrylic containers, at least 3 different types of waxes, a selection of essential and fragrance oils, wicks, a variety of colours and more, plus full instructions, safety information and course notes, hints and tips.

We will also provide you with a stirring sticks, mould seal, candle glue and other various utensils, although you will be required to supply the more 'normal' equipment such as scissors, masking tape, apron, plates, old saucepan etc. A list of required equipment is supplied with the course notes.

This course enables you to study at home and there is no time limit to pressure you. The course can take as little as 4 weeks and up to 12 months depending on the time you can set aside for learning. This distance learning course is broken down into four manageable modules, each of which guides you through each step you need to take in order to produce the most beautiful candles. At the end of each module there is a candle making session with a full, detailed, step-by-step guide on what to do. There is also a short quiz for you to complete so that we can ensure you are fully on track with your learning.

No experience is necessary, just the desire to immerse yourself in a candle making adventure and reap the benefits of having fun creating your own stunning candles.

Course Objectives - By the end of this course you will
