This is highly interactive involving discussion, practical exercises and prepared presentations made on DVD to facilitate constructive feedback in a supportive environment. Delegates are encouraged to bring along material that has been used before either successfully or unsuccessfully, or material that will be used in the future. The trainer will ascertain the special needs of each participant and facilitate the advanced development of presentation skills. Participants will have confidence to speak in a natural & effective manner to all sizes of group, both formally and informally. Suitable for: This programme is suitable for newcomers to public speaking as well as for those wishing to re-assess and brush up their skills.

COURSE CONTENT
Specifically, the course will cover the following:
- Appearance, posture, eye contact, body language, voice
- Attitude and manner of speech
- Nerve control
- Structuring and delivering your presentation
- Preparation – the ‘four questions’
- Writing for the spoken word, notes and easy reading
- How to gain maximum benefit from audio visual aids
- The place of questions in the presentation
- Adapting material to audience
- Handling the environment
- Exercises – listening, stress management, voice, reading aloud, speaking ‘off the cuff’
- Exercises - deliver introduction and five-minute presentation. Play-back DVD recording and discuss, problem areas to be identified and analysed
