Course overview This Apprenticeship framework can be applied across a broad range of sectors and job roles. Good managers and team leaders are essential to the success of any business, so the skills gained on this Apprenticeship are transferable and valuable. Latest statistics have revealed that there are over 4 million people employed in management in the UK and there will be a skills shortage within this vocational area unless young people are encouraged to engage in management qualifications. Typically a learner on this programme need to be a manager, head of function or area manage assuming an integral role in developing and supporting organisational objective through a wide range of functions, such as: managing team dynamics, delegation and capacity building, planning and managing projects and managing budgets. Apprenticeships are a tested way of training either a new or existing team member. An apprenticeship will provide on-the-job training which leads to an employee gaining a nationally recognised qualification which has been developed by the Sector Skills Council. The Apprenticeship framework will include the following elements; • Management – Level 4 Diploma (NVQ) • Principles of Leadership and Management (QCF) – Level 4 Diploma • Mathematics – Level 2 • English – Level 2 • Information and Communication Technologies – Level 2 • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills • Employment Rights and Responsibilities Entry requirements An employee/apprentice must be over 16 years of age with no prior level 4 qualifications or above working a minimum of 30 contracted hours per week in an appropriate occupational role
