Management NVQ Level 3

The Chartered Management Institute programmes are designed to meet the needs and demands of different levels of management. The Level 3 NVQ in Management is for you if:
·You are a first line manager able to demonstrate competence at the appropriate level in key areas such as managing activities, managing resources and managing people.
·You are looking for a work-based professional qualification flexible enough to suit your working patterns.

Entry RequirementsYou will find the Level 3 Management NVQ suitable if you are over 18 and have:
·Tightly defined areas of responsibility
·Some limited opportunity for taking decisions and managing budgets
·Responsibility for achieving specific results by using resources effectively
·Responsibility for allocating work to team members, colleagues or contractors

No formal qualifications are requiredCourse Content
You will be involved in gathering work based evidence against 7 units, 4 of which are mandatory and 3 optional.
Mandatory units are:

·Manage your own resources and professional development.
·Provide leadership in your area of responsibility
·Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility.
·Ensure health & safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility.

Full details of course content will be discussed with the Course Co-ordinator prior to commencement of programme.
How will I be assessed?
There are no formal examinations. Instead, you will be allocated an assessor who will advise and guide you into generating the appropriate evidence to meet Chartered Management Institute standards and units of competence.
Types of evidence will include workplace observation, written reports, witness testimonials, professional discussion etc on successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded a certificate from the Chartered Management Institute.

Progression to a Management NVQ Level 4 programme is possible if your job role in the future meets the requirements.
