3. Entry requirements No previous knowledge of Chinese is required, but a willingness to set personal targets for your development in Mandarin Chinese. 4. Equipment required I willingness to participate in pair and group work as well as the understanding of practising aloud during class. The tutor will provide any necessary hand-outs, although other texts maybe recommended. 5. Assessment method The course will comprise of a mixture of group work, pair work; engaging individual activities with the use of the VLE, the Internet and visual resources. The emphasis will be on Speaking and Listening however, a limited number of Chinese characters will be learnt.
