Course programme

Course review:

It can be enriching, powerful and grounding to integrate oral traditions, ancient symbolism and sacred arts into our lives. Mantra refers to a sound, syllable, word or group of words which one repeats internally or to the outside world. One can chant, write down or meditate on a mantra to bring about transformational change. A mandala is a sacred and geometric circle containing a rich blend of symbols, shapes, colours and meaning. Everyone will take something unique from a mandala whether that be a message, idea, thought, feeling or belief, for example. Like many ancient traditions, mantras and mandalas are just as inspirational and relevant today.

These workshops generally include:

Meditation

Gentle stretches for relaxation

Discussion based on the ancient traditions of mantras and mandalas

Reflection

Creating our own mandalas, connecting them to our lives and intentions

Chanting mantras for transformational change

Sharing/ritual/celebration

This creative and nourishing workshop will integrate the exploration and practical application of both mantras and mandalas. We will focus upon the theme of abundance, considering the richness in our lives; what we want to keep, and what we wish to let go of. We will explore and express the attuning of our energies through the often hidden and mysterious qualities of mantras and mandalas. Considering the theme, and exploring symbols, we will design our own symbols and place them within our own unique mandalas.
