This half-day course is designed to provide both the employer and employee with suitable information and practice to enable them to act in accordance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations. It will provide attendee's with an understanding of legislative requirements and manual handling techniques. The course offers attendees the opportunity to discuss their workplace and their legal duties explained under current legislation. This knowledge will enable attendees to return back to their workplace and apply a practical approach to safe systems of work. Whilst fatal accidents are rare, accidents resulting in major injuries, some of which include fractured limbs, are all too common.
