The Manual Handling Trainer course aims to provide delegates with the vital knowledge to assist in meeting the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. Training assists in meeting the requirements of this hierarchy and provides those in a supervisory role with the knowledge and skills to meet the aims of the regulations.
Manual Handling training provides the vital knowledge to help reduce the risks of injury in the workplace. Training can help to avoid back prolems and less obvious injury to hands, arms and feet. injuries are not always immediate and can occur over a long period of time. Training in Manual Handling can lead to less work-days being lost, so savig money and reducing individual suffering.

About this course
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
Understand and apply the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
Understand the basic workings of the spine and joints and possible causes of injury
Produce suitable materials for delivering manyual handling and safe lifting training courses
Advise others of suitable control measures to be adopted when undertaking manual handling assessments and training
Organisations can also choose to train delegates as Manual Handling Trainers in order to provide training “in-house” and contribute to the overall safety of employees. These staff will have to be competent in this area and will be trained to deliver Manual Handling Training.
All delegates will receive training to enable them to deliver Manual Handling training effectively. They will also receive comprehensive Trainers Discs which includes PowerPoint presentations, videos, lesson plans and certificate templates.
