Aims and objectives:

To provide qualified RoSPA Manual Handling Trainers and Assessors with an updated understanding of the process of instructing others in sound manual handling techniques and the process of conducting manual handling risk assessments.

On completion of this course, delegates should be able to prepare and deliver a manual handling awareness training package, and carry out suitable and sufficient manual handling risk assessments.

Qualification and certification:

Delegates who successfully complete the practical and written assessments will be awarded a RoSPA Manual Handling Trainers and Risk Assessors Certificate, which is valid for three years. Successful delegates on open courses will also receive a manual handling instructors awareness pack.

Trained instructors will be able to train others within their organisation on basic manual handling awareness and continually promote positive attitudes towards manual handling activities.
