About the course
Do you dream of a career making and building things? How about a career making things work and running complex systems as efficiently as possible? A trainee job as a manufacturing engineer is the perfect starting point, with an Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture from City College Plymouth. When you become an apprentice, you’ll start working under supervision in a local company, building things and making them work. No matter what field of manufacturing you want to go into, this Apprenticeship will teach you the skills you need to succeed. Every industry of manufacture needs often complex machinery to keep it going, so your skills will be in demand wherever you go. On this Higher Engineering Apprenticeship, you will learn the skills you need to meet the demands of any company, helping create and maintain the systems and machinery used to ensure production runs smoothly. You’ll be earning while you learn, attending the College on a weekly basis in conjunction with working at a local company. This will enable you to learn the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the industry, as well as gaining recognised qualifications to give you the edge in a competitive industry. This higher Apprenticeship is equivalent to three A Levels and successful completion can enable you to progress to university-level study.
