If you are a design engineer, manufacturing engineer, mechanical engineer or maintenance engineer in this short modular course (part of the HNC/D in Engineering) will develop your knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques that can be applied to a range of materials for a variety of manufacturing applications. The course would also be beneficial if you work on the shop floor in an engineering or manufacturing company and are looking to progress further in your career. We have a state-of-the-art modern engineering workshop equipped with a range of industry-standard equipment including millers, lathes, CNC tooling and laser cutters, along with fabrication and welding equipment such as Tig, Mig and Arc welders and CAD suites.

About this course
As this module is part of an HNC/D qualification, you are required to be over 18 years of age and have the following qualifications: Two A Levels – preferably in maths or science OR BTec certificate or diploma in engineering or a related discipline - Mature students will be considered in light of relevant work/life experience - Non-EU students are required to have an IELTS or equivalent university qualification
