Course review:

You’ll be in the capable hands of experienced marine engineering professionals who’ll develop your existing skills and introduce you to more advanced concepts. As well as getting to grips with the challenges of modern marine engineering, you’ll be designing and building vessels and learning more about naval architecture and technology.

What will I be doing?

• Advanced design-and-build projects under the guidance of experienced marine professionals

• Going on a specially arranged visit to a local business to discover the role of cutting-edge marine technology in the modern workplace

• Spending time on campus with exclusive access to equipment including a towing tank

• Developing a deeper understanding of the role of the marine engineer and the potential career options open to you in the future

• Meeting and working with real engineers from industry, drawing on their knowledge and putting your new skills into practice

• Improving skills in team building, communication, time management, problem solving, planning and presentations
