Course programme

Our programme delivers a rigorous learning experience across a wide spectrum of fields, including financial and managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, law, financial management, corporate governance, accounting analytics, strategic management, and business leadership. The curriculum has the following distinctive features:
  • A comprehensive postgraduate curriculum encompassing accounting, finance, management, and business analytics
  • Theories that explicate the important roles of accounting in economic decisions
  • Professional training in business leadership, strategic management reporting, and advanced financial and performance management benefited from the partnership with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
  • Accounting data analytics that convert information into executable actions
  • A capstone course to tie the various elements of the study together through real world business projects
To graduate from the programme, you need to complete a total of 12 courses, including 8 core courses and 4 elective courses. As our student, you can also take up to two electives from the HKU MBA, Master of Business Analytics, Master of Finance and Master of Economics programmes, subject to availability and approval of the Programme Director(s) concerned based on your capabilities, profile and performance in our programme.

Additional information

Tuition FeeThe tuition fee of HK$318,000* for Intake 2020 is payable in two instalments overone year, subject to change and final approval by The University of Hong Kong. Thepayment deadlines of the tuition fee instalments are normally in October andJanuary each year.Upon receiving the admission offer, candidates will be required to arrange an offerdeposit of HK$80,000* to confirm offer acceptance. The deposit will be deductedfrom the first instalment of the tuition fee.

Scholarships 
We offer merit-based scholarships to qualified students, who may receive tuitionwaiver ranging from 10% to 50% in most cases. A full tuition wavier may be offeredto outstanding cases. All eligible candidates are automatically considered; noseparate application is required.
