Core Modules Leadership Strategic Management Strategic Marketing Strategic Legal and Social Issues Strategic Operations Issues Strategic Finance Strategic Human Resource Management Final Project Project Management-Concepts and Practice Performance Management Financial Markets and Institutions Investment Analysis Methods of Assessment Each module consists of an assignment and an exam. The exam must be passed to pass the module. The assignment is equivalent to 20% of the total grade of the module and the exams as 80%. All exams are assessed by open text book. The assessment method may change in the future at the discretion of the awarding body. From 2008 the assignment will be replaced by a case study included in the exam.
Teaching Methods The programme is taught by a dedicated team of staff drawn largely from full-time members of the Academy but supplemented where necessary by external lecturers and speakers and professionals from industry. There is a mixture of lecture and seminar work in the course with a particular emphasis on group work. This allows experiences to be shared and develops cross-cultural awareness and opportunities to develop links and networks in the long run. In addition, use is made of case studies, computer models and simulations, and presentations.
The Academy is responsible for providing tuition support for this qualification using the syllabus guidelines from AIBA. All exams and syllabuses are designed by AIBA ensuring quality control.
