Subjects
For each 8 point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.
If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of approved course design.

As a Charles Sturt University student, throughout your course you have a responsibility to continue to develop skills in English language, literacy and numeracy as appropriate to your discipline. This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.

The course consists of nine (9) subjects in total; eight (8) x 8 point core subjects plus one (1) 32 point restricted elective subject. Completion of the 32 point restricted elective subject is required in order to undertake clinical placement hours. Enrolment in the restricted elective subject is dependent upon the student's mode of study. Full-time students will complete the subject within one (1) session of study and part-time students will compete the subject across two (2) multi-sessions of study.

Recent data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare indicates that chronic illness currently contributes to 70 per cent of the health burden in Australia, and this is expected to rise to 80 per cent by 2020. As a graduate of Charles Sturt University's Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology, you can work to improve people's health and wellbeing and make a positive contribution to the health of your community. Positions are available in private practice, multidisciplinary health clinics, workplace health centres, hospitals, aged care facilities and commercial health and fitness centres.
